Our home has a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, full of books, music, good wine and food. We love socialising and enjoy a glass of red wine. We cater for both smokers and non-smokers. We welcome you and hope that the qualities we offer create the magic, which brings people back - year after year. Shingalana is a Highly recommended Lodge situated in a quiet, peaceful area north of Johannesburg, which offers superior comfort and service. Our Lodge is centrally situated and is a superb base for enjoying Gauteng and exploring the rest of South Africa. It is only 20 minutes from JHB CBD, 5 minutes from Sandton City and 1 km from the Brightwater Commons. The Lodge consists of six large bedrooms upstairs - all en-suite. Rooming arrangements may be double, triple, twin or single.

Directions to Shingalana Lodge from Bloemfontein and Cape Town
Follow N1 North until you see the Hans Strydom Drive off ramp. Take the Hans Strydrom Drive off-ramp - turn right into Hans Strydom Drive. Drive for about 4 km. See a Virgin Active Health Centre on the right, MacDonalds, Nandos, Woolworths etc., (on the left), continue but stay in left lane. You should see Randburg Waterfront signs. Turn left at the intersection of Hans Strydom and Republic Road. (Damelin College and a Road Lodge is on the right at this intersection). Drive past the Randburg Waterfront. Drive past the Randburg Inn on left. Move to right hand lane. Continue driving to the Multichoice Building at the top of the hill. Turn right at the intersection of Republic Rd and Hendrik Verwoerd Drive. Move to left hand lane. Drive past M-Net offices, through one set of traffic lights.At the next traffic light turn left - HUNTER Road- (Canterbury Crossing Shopping centre should be on your right hand side). Drive to the Stop Street with a Total garage on your left. Turn left at the Garage into Ralda Road. The road is access controlled is manned by a 24 hour security guard. We are the first house on your right - a white double story house.

Travel on N3 towards JHB. At JHB follow signs N3 Pretoria - when you see the signs N1 - take the N1 Roodepoort. Follow N1 Roodepoort until you see the Hans Strydom off-ramp. Take the Hans Strydrom Drive off-ramp - turn left into Hans Strydom Drive. See a Health and Racquet centre on the right, MacDonalds on the left - continue but stay left. Turn left at the intersection of Hans Strydom and Republic Road. (A Road Lodge is at this intersection). Drive past the Randburg Waterfront. Drive past the Randburg Inn on left. Move to right hand lane. Continue driving to the Multichoice Building at the top of the hill. Turn right at the intersection of Republic Rd and Hendrik Verwoerd Drive. Move to left hand lane. Drive past M-Net offices and thru one set of traffic lights. At the next traffic light turn left - HUNTER Road- (Canterbury Crossing Shopping centre should be on your right hand side). Travel towards JHB. At JHB follow signs N3 Pretoria - when you see the signs N1 - take the N1 Roodepoort. Follow N1 Roodepoort until you see the Fourways off-ramp. You will be taking the next one.
